A new briefing highlights how Adult Services can better support parents with a learning disability – an issue linked with increased involvement in the child protection system and, too often, family separation.
This review contributed to the Independent Review of Children's Social Care by considering the evidence for services designated as ‘early help’ and designed to provide support to children and families before problems escalate to the point where statutory services are required.
NCB believes that HM Treasury has listened to many of the arguments put forward by the children’s sector and we applaud them for this. But creating lasting change must mean sustained growth in other areas of public spending too.
