These webpages are designed for children and young people who have arrived in the United Kingdom from another country and are seeking asylum by themselves.
Ask a trusted adult to read this through with you if you do not understand anything.
Who are the National Children’s Bureau?
The National Children’s Bureau is a children’s charity in England and Northern Ireland. We want all children and young people to have the support they need to live the very best lives possible. We work with the Government, education, health, and care services and lots of other charities to help improve services and support.
These webpages outline some of the support that is available to you, including:
- Helplines: speak to someone who can support you.
- Online resources: read information about the asylum process and your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing online.
The resources have been developed by the following organisations:
- Barnardo’s
- ECPAT UK
- UK Trauma Council
- Refugee Council
- The Children’s Society
- All these resources are free for you to access – you do not need to pay for them.
You do not have to read the information all in one go. You can read it at your own pace and come back to it when you are ready.
