Children at the Table

Ahead of the 2024 general election, we joined with Action for Children, Barnardo's, The Children's Society and NSPCC, to make sure that babies, children, and young people were at the heart of policy promises and party manifestos.

Ahead of the General Election in July  2024, the UK’s five leading children’s charities – Action for Children, Barnardo’s, The Children’s Society, the National Children’s Bureau and the NSPCC –  came together with the support of nearly 200 organisations from the  voluntary and community sectors to make sure the next government had a plan to put Children at the Table.

    As a coalition, we have published a joint report including research we commissioned with Alma economics and the Institute for Government highlighting many of the challenges children are facing right across the UK today. We want to ensure that political leaders prioritise the needs of babies, children and young people and our report details why.
