The Camp Hope Project will enable 60 young people who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence to address the trauma through working in a group setting, in a safe space, at a specially constructed camp, providing a relief from isolation and connecting the young person with peers through the mutual experiences of the group members, learning from others in a similar situation.
This experience allows the young person to begin to reset and proceed along normal developmental pathways, making new friends, gaining vital new skills, and breaking the cycle of domestic violence for future generations.
