Do you have a finance or risk management background? Are you interested in joining a charity Board?
We are looking for new people to join us as Independent Members of our Finance, Risk and Audit Committee (FRAC)! The FRAC is a dynamic committee, with its broad remit covering finance, risk and both internal and external audit.
Along with the People & Culture Committee, FRAC sits alongside the Trustee Board. Independent Members join NCB Trustees on the Committees to provide independent advice, support and challenge. Their voice is heard, valued and they have a full vote on Committee matters
The role of an Independent Member can be as fulfilling as that of a Trustee but is a smaller time committee and does not carry the legal responsibilities of a Trustee position. It can be a superb first step into charity governance and Boards for those without prior experience.
This is a great way to explore joining a charity Board without the obligations of a full Trustee position. As part of our Board development programme, we will provide our Independent Members with comprehensive induction and ongoing support and opportunities to grow in the role.
If you wish to apply, please supply the following:
- A detailed CV setting out your career history, with responsibilities and achievements.
- A covering letter (maximum two sides) highlighting your suitability for the role, your motivation for applying, and how you meet the person specification. Please note that the covering letter is an important part of your application and will be assessed as part of your full application.
- Please provide details of two professional referees together with a brief statement of their relationship to you and over what period of time they have known you. Referees will not be contacted without your prior consent.
- Application deadline: 9am, Monday 19 May 2025
*Please note - this is a voluntary role*
