NCB is committed to ensuring that the lived experience of young people who are currently living, or have previously lived, in supported accommodation is central to the development of this programme.
We were delighted that Chickenshed, an inclusive theatre company, were able to work with young people living in supported accommodation at our national conferences to explore what high quality support looks and feels like to them and develop a live performance for the attendees.
This short film encapsulates some of the views and ideas these young people shared about their experiences of living in supported accommodation.
We will continue to develop our programme in line with what young people with lived experience tell us about what high-quality support looks and feels like so that local authority commissioners and providers can embed this in practice.
