We are proud to be leading the Lambeth Early Action Partnership (LEAP): a 10-year programme funded by the Big Lottery as part of their A Better Start initiative to improve the life chances of babies and young children living in the London borough of Lambeth.
The programme is running in four wards in Lambeth, Vassall, Coldharbour, Tulse Hill and Stockwell, to change the way local services are delivered and develop new services that support families to give their children the best start in life.
Over 10 years, the programme will focus on improving breastfeeding rates, reducing childhood and maternal obesity and domestic violence, and improving social, emotional, communication and language development of babies and young children.
The LEAP Partnership includes Lambeth Council, Lambeth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Public Health, King's Health Partners (KHP), Kings College Hospital Trust, Guys & St Thomas Hospital Trust as well as local voluntary organisations, community groups, local parents and carers, schools and nurseries.
