Many two-year-olds, particularly those who are disadvantaged, are now accessing free early education within early years settings.
It’s therefore important that provision for young children is of the highest quality to give them the best outcomes and narrow the gap between disadvantaged and other children.
This training is for local authority early years leads, managers and practitioners wishing to support quality provision for two-year-olds within early years settings.
The training is based on the PEAL model of balanced and respectful relationships and research evidence around ways of working with very young children. It includes:
- tools and techniques to encourage reflective practice amongst setting leaders and practitioners
- evidence-based information around improving outcomes for young children
- self-audit and action planning
- signposting to further supporting materials.
Cost: £2,500, inclusive of resources for 12-20 participants
The local authority or organisation should provide a suitable venue and any catering. The training can also be delivered as part of a tailored consultancy package.
