Sarah is an experienced senior leader in both central and local government, and after a 25 year career has a good understanding of the structures, relationships and cultures of central government departments and local government directorates.
Over the last few years she has transitioned to the third sector, developing expertise in charity governance. Until recently she was Chair of Bliss, the national charity for premature and sick babies, and is currently the Chair of Respect, a national domestic abuse charity.
Sarah is experienced in the complexities of the health and social care systems from her experience in local government. She also has strategic experience in improving equality, diversity and inclusion.
