The LINKS Project
The National Children's Bureau has been given money by The National Lottery Community Fund to support other organisations who work with children and young people under the Empowering Young People’s Programme. This Lottery funded programme gives young people in Northern Ireland aged 8-25 the ability to cope with challenges in their lives. Through the LINKS project, NCB offers a part-time paid internship opportunity to a young person to join their team in Belfast.
About the Internship
The Trainee Project Assistant role is an internship to provide the role holder with some valuable work experience in a children’s charity. The internships are for a 6 month period on a part time basis.
"I enjoy my job, I feel included in the team and I have been given experiences which I would not have otherwise had such as meeting other organisations, Outcome Based Accountability training and a complete immersion into the world of charities and voluntary work. NCB is a wonderful organisation, full of friendly and hard-working people, and I am grateful to be part of it. I intend to take on any and every opportunity given to me during my internship"
Our first intern, Cara.
