Established in 1987, the Sex Education Forum works with its members and partners to ensure that all children in England receive quality relationships and sex education (RSE).
The Sex Education Forum advocates and campaigns to ensure children and young people's entitlement to RSE is firmly embedded into national and local government policies and public understanding.
It also supports professionals with reliable information and high quality training so they are well informed and competent to commission, teach and research RSE.
The work of the Sex Education Forum is underpinned by evidence, a rights-based approach and the expressed needs of children and young people.
The Sex Education Forum is directed by Lucy Emmerson.
