As Office Coordinator, Owen oversees the general running and administration of the NCB office in Northern Ireland.
This includes offering support to the team, event management, project design, servicing meetings, ICT and ensuring the office functions effectively. Owen also assists the Director of NCB Northern Ireland with diary management and correspondence.
Owen has worked in a variety of administrative roles over the past 14 years, including positions in the Welsh Assembly Government and Queens University Belfast. Throughout this time, he has gained experience in just about every aspect of administration.
In his spare time, Owen is both a Scout Leader and a football coach for his local Under-10s team.
“The main reason I work, and enjoy working for NCB, is that I believe that the organisation can make a real difference in the long term on children’s lives. I’m passionate about children’s rights, health and their need to play, particularly outdoors, and if I can be involved in a sector and work for an organisation that also supports these beliefs, that’s what drives me.”
