Debbie manages NCB’s work with the Government and Parliament, by keeping politicians, advisers and civil servants up to date on the issues affecting children and families.
She does this by drawing upon NCB’s evidence based policy recommendations and working closely with our in-house research team.
Debbie has nine years’ experience working in policy and public affairs. As a researcher to an MP, and later campaigning in the voluntary sector to improve the law, policy and practice for the most vulnerable, including most recently at Bernardos.
Debbie is particularly interested in in children’s rights, which was the subject of her Master’s degree.
‘It’s a privilege to work on behalf of vulnerable children and families, bringing their voice and experience directly to decision-makers in Whitehall and Westminster.’
