As part of the senior management team, Caroline is a key player in ensuring the success of the Council for Disabled Children’s social care training programmes which look at the links between recent changes in SEND legislation and supporting young people as they prepare for adulthood. She has led NCB's work on the social care innovation programme and delivered coaching and mentoring support to four local authorities.
Caroline currently leads on our strategic reform partner work with the Department for Education managing training and resource development for social work practitioners; developing and facilitating action learning sets and accelerated working groups; implementing communications strategy and dissemination of learning through our key professional networks.
Caroline is an expert member of cross-sector working groups focused on safeguarding and child protection, including:
- Safeguarding Children Stakeholder Group
- Ofsted Social Care National Consultative Forum
- DfE Faith-based abuse working group
- National Working Group for Safeguarding Disabled Children
