Curriculum design

This section helps you consider what to include in SRE and how to structure your programme. You will find a set of questions to help you understand what children and young people want to learn about in SRE at different ages, a sample scheme of work (based on the 2009 SRE Core Curriculum for London) and SRE resource lists to support lesson planning. 

Planning and delivering SRE

Resources in this section help you to build good quality SRE by involving a range of partners including parents and governors.  To support SRE teachers, advice is provided on effective learning methods, assessment and evaluation, and meeting the needs of diverse young people.

Resources in this section support professionals to actively involve young people as participants, advocates and evaluators in developing good quality SRE provision.
