This section helps you consider what to include in
SRE and how to structure your programme. You will
find a set of questions to help you understand what children
and young people want to learn about in SRE at different ages, a
sample scheme of work (based on the 2009 SRE Core
Curriculum for London) and SRE resource
lists to support lesson planning.
Resources in this section help you to build good quality SRE by
involving a range of partners including parents and
governors. To support SRE teachers, advice
is provided on effective learning methods, assessment and
evaluation, and meeting the needs of diverse young people.
Resources in this section support professionals to actively
involve young people as participants, advocates and evaluators in
developing good quality SRE provision.
