SRE: Getting on with it!
The Sex Education Forum (SEF) is holding a conference in
October to update on current SRE policy & education, showcase
innovative practice and provide an opportunity for participants to
dicuss their own practice and make links with other organisations.

extremely disappointed that the clauses on PSHE and SRE have been
dropped from the Children, Schools and Families Bill following the

Teenage pregnancy
The latest
statistics show a 3.9% decrease in under-18 teenage conceptions
between 2007 and 2008. Proposals
for the teenage pregnancy strategy beyond 2010 were announced
in March and a consultation was launched, which closed in
May.
Children, Schools and Families Bill
The Children, Schools and Families Bill was given
Royal Assent on 8 April 2010 - thus making it an Act. The clauses
relating to PSHE and SRE were dropped from the Bill. To read the
