Tackling
Bullying in the Community
Theme: Well
being
"Bullying happens everywhere – at the park, in
school, lessons, on the way home, on buses – it is everywhere –
happens to me every day..." (male, aged 14, with emotional,
behavioural and learning difficulties) Over recent years, the
Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) has become increasingly aware of how
bullying in the wider community can impact on the well-being of
children and young people. To support local practitioners to get to
grips with the new DCSF Safe from Bullying guidance on tackling
bullying in a range of community settings, ABA is organising a
series of one-day conferences in each of the nine government
regions, including this event in London.
