Youth offending, sexual exploitation and trafficking: what are the
links?
Emerging evidence shows that youth justice services may
find it difficult to identify a trafficked young offender or
recognise a history of child sexual exploitation within the
offender's background. Once identified, evidence suggests that the
relationship between welfare and justice can become confused and
hard to manage.
Delivered by experienced practitioners in the field, this
conference offers an introduction to the latest findings
surrounding these current issues. It will also provide the
opportunity for participants to explore how these topics impact on
their own work with young offenders who may be victims of
trafficking and/or of sexual exploitation.
