National Minimum Standards Revision Consultation

NMS for Residential Special Schools and Boarding Schools
The National Centre for Excellence in Residential Child Care facilitated day consultation events in London and the South West on the proposed National Minimum Standards for Residential Special Schools and Boarding Schools. The purpose of the event was to consult with those working in and with residential special schools.   The reports from these events are available here: London; South West.

National Mimimum Standards for Children's Homes
Throughout October and November 2009 NCERCC facilitated consultation events on the revision of the National Minimum Standards for Children's Homes. The documents relating to the NMS consultation review for Children's Homes are available on the DCSF web-site at http://www.dcsf.gov.uk/consultations

These NCERCC events provided an opportunity to share views in advance of your own feedback to the DCSF. NCERCC devised a programme for the day that allowed the discussions to range wider than the online consultation. A final report written and provided for DCSF as part of the NCERCC feedback to the consultation is available below.
