Arts and Leisure
To promote health and well-being
Involving children and young people in
arts and creative activities, leisure interests, sports and hobbies
has proven to be an excellent way of engaging them in improving
their own health and well-being.
The National Healthy Care Standard states
that:
‘A child needs to have opportunities to develop personal and
social skills, talents and abilities and to spend time in freely
chosen play, cultural and leisure activities.’
