To promote health and well-being

Involving children and young people in arts and creative activities, leisure interests, sports and hobbies has proven to be an excellent way of engaging them in improving their own health and well-being.

The National Healthy Care Standard states that:

‘A child needs to have opportunities to develop personal and social skills, talents and abilities and to spend time in freely chosen play, cultural and leisure activities.’
