Audit Tool

This Healthy Care Programme Audit Tool [PDF 53.1KB] has been developed in partnership with colleagues in Government Office West Midlands and the Healthy Care Programme at NCB. It replaces the original Healthy Care Audit Tool developed in 2005.

It has assisted the Region’s Healthy Care Programme by helping local authorities and NHS services take stock of where they are in providing good quality services to looked after children, and what actions they have to take to bring about improvements. 

It takes account of the Healthy Care Standard, and six entitlements within that standard, and proposals within the Care Matters Implementation Plan ‘Care Matters: Time to deliver for looked after children 2008’.  

A Healthy Care Evidence Grid [PDF 34.9KB] is also provided to enable the local evidence that informs the audit to be systematically recorded. This is available as a PDF document and as a word document [DOC 345KB] for ease of completion.
