EDCM Facebook support exceeds 15,000 fans

EDCM is proud to report that following a re-launch of its
Facebook presence just three months ago, it now
has a Facebook fan-base of over 15,000 individual
supporters.
Facebook has enabled EDCM to reach a wider audience, with many fans
being parents of disabled children looking for a forum to share
information and find support. It is also an ideal place for young
EDCM supporters to come together.
Feedback from Facebook discussions show many barriers still exist
to disabled children and their families living ordinary
lives.
Our new 'Take Action!' area provides a quick and
simple way for Facebook fans to support the campaign and help us
make change happen.
In the run-up to the General Election this year, EDCM is asking all
political parties to make commitments to supporting disabled
children and their families in their party manifestos.
Added to the campaign’s existing supporter base of 30,000
individual supporters, our huge number of Facebook fans
helps us to make this an issue the Government can’t ignore.
