What's your story?

We'd like people to understand more about what life is like for disabled children, young people, and their families.

There are a number of ways you can help us to do this.

Challenge cuts to disabled children’s services

EDCM is asking for supporters stories about services that are closing or being reduced in their area as a result of local funding cuts. EDCM will then use these as evidence to show government what negative impact this has had on your lives. If you have been affected by a local area cutting or reducing funding for a local service, please let us know by filling in the form and returning it to EDCM by Wednesday 8th September. **Take action** here [form opens in another page]

If you want to campaign against service cuts in your local area, you can get ideas about how to get started from EDCM’s Making Disabled Children Matter Locally 2010 – a guide to influencing local decision makers for rights and resources for disabled children. Available in PDF or word format.

Tell your story

Real experiences told by families are a very powerful way to put pressure on government to make change happen and improve the situation for disabled children and their families. If you would like to help us with our media work and tell your story to a wider audience please complete our media form [DOC 99KB] and email it back to us at info@edcm.org.uk.

Send us your photos

We’d like to put photographs of disabled children, young people and their families on our website and on our other materials. We need your permission to do this so please complete our photo form [DOC 97KB] and send it with your photos to us at info@edcm.org.uk.
