Becoming a member of CDC

CDC focuses on influencing national policy that impacts upon disabled children and children with special educational needs (SEN) and their families.  We do this through engaging with the government and participating in policy working groups.

We also work with government departments, local agencies and service providers to translate policy into real improvements in provision and support for disabled children and children with SEN and their families.

We support a number of specialist networks, which bring together organisations and individuals with a focus on specific aspects of the disabled children’s sector: the National Parent Partnership Network, the Participation Network, the Special Educational Consortium, and the Transition Information Network.

Membership to CDC is free, and we welcome all organisations who are involved with children and young people with disabilities to become a member.

As a member, you will receive numerous benefits including:
- The unique opportunity to inform and be informed on a variety of disabled children’s issues
- A subscription to our weekly e-mail updates and our quarterly newsletter, the CDC News Digest
- Attendance at the CDC Council Meetings which take place three times a year
- The opportunity to contribute to relevant government consultations
- The opportunity to also join and receive information from any of CDC’s specialist networks
