NCB seeks runners for 10K event
Thursday 21 May 2009
NCB has a limited number of free places left
for this year's British 10K London Run, held on Sunday 12 July. The
route of this world-renowned sporting event takes entrants past
many historical landmarks and attracts runners from across the
globe, including Olympic champions and celebrities, who run
shoulder to shoulder with charity fun runners and fitness
enthusiasts.
NCB is looking for runners to take part and help raise money to
improve the lives of children and young people. Not only will this
be a great incentive to get fit, but it also provides the
opportunity to take part in a popular charity challenge with
thousands of others.
Lisa Davis, one of last year's runners, said: "Taking part last
year was great. At first I thought it would be difficult to run 10K
and to raise the sponsorship, but in the end I managed both. NCB
organised some training for us all and were always on hand to help
with fundraising tips. I exceeded my target. I'm doing the run
again this year and hope to better both my time and the money I
raise."
